Here I am in my office holding XWERKS GROW whey protein isolate powder!

Protein powder XWERKS Grow being held by a hand

Anytime I get a chance to review a protein powder, I'm always in! This time up is XWERKS GROW, which is a whey protein isolate powder. They really try to sell their "100% New Zealand Grass-Fed Whey Protein" formula.

That's good ol' marketing for you, but we're not interested in the marketing here! We want to know how it mixes, how it tastes, does it help you build muscle... DOES IT WORK??!!

Here are my credentials for reviewing protein powders:

  • I've been reviewing protein powders for over 5 years now.
  • I regularly take a protein powder shake at least once per day, sometimes twice (so I can hit my macros)
  • I have tried over 20 protein powders!
  • I'm certified in Strength and Conditioning and I have to know the best protein powders to recommend them to athletes I work with.
  • I'm very particular about my protein powders and I only recommend a few brands that are the best in my opinion.

Let's get to know XWERKS GROW a little bit more!

BIG Takeaways: The Good and the Bad

  • Contains over 25 grams of protein in each serving.
  • Reviews state that this product mixes very well without leaving behind clumps.
  • Because this is made from raw whey, it contains native microfractions, such as alpha lactalbumin, beta-lactoglobulin, glycomacropeptide and immunoglobulins. These are key nutrients.
  • This product is low in fat and carbohydrates.
  • Some nutrients are found in very low doses in XWERKS Grow. This includes vitamin D (6 IU), vitamin A (65 IU) and vitamin C (600 mcg).
  • Contains non-organic natural flavors.

Try it today!

  • There's over 25g of protein per serving, which is great.
  • Mixes just fine with a standard bottle shaker.
  • The taste reminds me of a classic protein powder to help build muscle - just OK. Are there better tasting proteins out there? Yes, but you buy XWERKS Grow because of the results it can get you, not the taste.

XWERKS GROW Whey Protein at a Glance

mixing bottle with a scoop of XWERKS Grow and bag

XWERKS has created its Grow whey protein powder supplement from New Zealand grass-fed whey protein isolate. With each serving providing more than 25 grams of protein along with six grams of branched-chain amino acids, you can use this product to potentially support the production of lean muscle mass, provide a quicker recovery and energize your body.

XWERKS uses an ultrafiltration process that gets rid of unwanted carbohydrates, lactose and fats. Once you consume this protein, it’s quickly absorbed and digested. It’s not supposed to cause the bloating and digestive issues that a lot of similar products do. It’s available in four different flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and peanut butter.

The Formula

XWERKS Grow is made up of 100% New Zealand grass-fed whey protein isolate- 25.8 grams to be exact. There are also some non-organic natural flavors and stevia included. This is a fat- and carbohydrate-free product, except for the peanut butter variety. It contains two grams of carbs and two grams of fat. XWERKS Grow has a very diverse amino acid profile, with 18 different key amino acids.

Macros

Micros

There are a number of vitamins and minerals included in XWERKS Grow, such as vitamins A, C and D. Also included are healthy doses of calcium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium.

What I Like

  • Made from 100% grass-fed whey protein isolate
  • Doesn’t contain anything artificial like sweeteners or colors (except for the strawberry variety).
  • Mixes well according to reviews.
  • Comes in four different flavor varieties.
  • XWERKS claims this product can help with your workout regimen (muscle repair and muscle growth) as well as strengthen your immune system.

What I Don’t Like That Much

  • You only save 5% when you sign up for a subscription.
  • It’s a little expensive, priced at $59 for a one-time purchase of a two-pound bag.

My Notes on Improvements

  • This product contains stevia, which is natural, but it would be nice to see a healthier sweetener alternative.
  • It’s preferred that we’re able to filter reviews so we can use them as we see fit. You have to scroll through reviews on the XWERKS website. You’ll have to look elsewhere for more unbiased information, though there are a few on there.

Unbiased Reviews

Curious what real-life users of XWERKS Grow have thought about this product? The product has a five-out-of-five-star review on the company’s website, with more than 400 reviews listed. This is a website that allows anybody to submit a review of a product without verifying whether you’re a real consumer or not.

Some people don’t like the flavor or consistency of this product. It was too sweet for many people. The strawberry variety has poor reviews, stating that there isn’t much flavor to it at all. Some consumers didn’t really notice much of a difference in how they felt or performed when using XWERKS Grow, but they didn’t disclose how long they were trying it before they came to their conclusion.

If we head over to Amazon, some of the reviews claim that XWERKS Grow caused them stomach issues. There were a lot of reviews on Amazon that also mentioned the poor flavor as well as the disappointing price point of Grow.

How Does XWERKS GROW Stack Up to Its Competition?
