Protein powder is probably my favorite supplement to take, mainly because it helps rebuild muscles.
I've been taking protein powder dating back to my high school football days, through my college football days, and right now as I'm nearing 40 years old. It seems like my body needs more protein now more than ever as I get older.
We're going to take a hard look at Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder. I'm not a huge fan of vegan protein, but I have taken them. My favorite so far is 1st Phorm Vegan Power Pro, and I also eat their Vegan Power Pro protein bars.
There are really only a handful of vegan brands that also create protein powder, and Future Kind is one of them. Is it any good? How does it taste? Can you bake with it?
I'll answer these questions and much more. Let's get right to it.
BIG Takeaways From My Future Kind Vegan Protein Review
Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder Product Description
Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder is a creamy, organic and pea-protein-based supplement that contains 20 grams of protein, 3 grams of fat and only 4 grams of carbohydrates. Future Kind boasts that their protein is easy to digest compared to other lactose-based supplements. Reviews state that this is a very creamy protein powder that isn’t overly sweet. It comes in two different flavors: Chocolate and vanilla. Packed with protein, iron and other essential amino acids and nutrients, Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder is thoroughly tested by a third-party provider to confirm it is safe, pure and potent.
The Formula
Future Kind Protein Powder is actually very basic and doesn’t contain a lot of ingredients. The main sources of protein are peas, hemp and sacha inchi, which is a seed. Other ingredients include chia seeds, stevia, cocoa powder, natural flavors, spirulina, guar gum and kelp powder.
Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder contains 20 grams of protein, 3 grams of fat and 4 grams of carbohydrates.
Micros in Future Kind Protein include 40mg of calcium and 8.1mg of iron. This has a pretty high iron content, helping you achieve 45% of your daily recommended value.
If you scan through some of the reviews that are listed on the Future Kind website and on other independent pages on the internet, this product seems to be very mixable. A lot of protein powders are very hard to mix into liquid, resulting in a very gritty and unpleasant taste and texture. You can add Future Kind Vegan Protein to water or mix it into a smoothie without much difficulty.
Taste is something that Future Kind seems to have perfected. The chocolate and vanilla varieties are both pleasant and aren’t overly sweet. While the brand does use stevia, most people don’t notice that it’s in there (some people really don’t like the taste of stevia).
How Does It Do With Baking?
You can get really creative with how you use your protein powder. Baking is one way that people use a product such as this to increase their protein intake. Future Kind Protein holds up very well when baking with it. It retains its smooth texture, so you can add it to muffins, pancakes, cookies, etc.
Here’s What I Like About Future Kind’s Vegan Protein Powder
- Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder is made using organic ingredients.
- It has 20 grams of protein in each serving.
- This product is vegan-friendly.
- It doesn’t contain a lot of carbohydrates (four grams per serving) or fat (only three grams per serving).
- The brand claims this product is easy to digest. Since it’s dairy free, you shouldn’t experience any gas or bloating when using it.
- Stevia is used as a sweetener, but the taste of it doesn’t really come through with either flavor option.
Here’s What I Don’t Like
- The one-time purchase option is $59.99. This is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. You have to subscribe to save 17%, which brings the price to $49.79.
- Only two flavors are currently available: Chocolate and vanilla.
- Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder contains sacha inchi, which is a seed that has a high protein content. A lot of people aren’t familiar with sacha inchi.
My Notes on Improvements
- We would love to see additional flavors become available.
- Subscribing for regular shipments of this protein should provide a little more than just 17% off.
- Future Kind products are manufactured in a facility where many of the major allergens are present (peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, milk and eggs).

It’s a very clean formula that provides 18 grams of protein per serving. Each serving only contains 105 calories and 1 gram of fat. There are five grams of fiber in each serving, helping you meet your daily requirements for optimal GI function. Enzymes have also been added to increase the absorption rate of this product.
Unbiased Reviews
Reviews are everything when it comes to deciding what kind of vegan protein powder you want to purchase. These products can really be hit or miss, so being able to read what real people thought about their purchase is important.
Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder currently has approximately 115 ratings / reviews listed on their website. The vanilla flavor seems to taste a bit like cinnamon, so that’s something to keep in mind. Some people compare the chocolate flavor to a milkshake. There are some people who felt this protein retained a bit of a gritty texture, but it might just be how they were mixing it. The vanilla variety has a green tinge to it, which can affect any baked goods that you use it in.
In general, the protein content of Future Kind Vegan Protein is a major selling point. Twenty grams per serving is impressive.
Should You Try Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder?

If you’re looking for a really clean option, Future Kind Vegan Protein Powder is a great option.
